Raising funds for Zane Van Hofwegen

For my Senior Captsone project, I planned a 5K raising money for Zane Van Hofwegen. Zane, my two year old cousin, was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

 

The run was a free event, but by the generous community we raised $4,728 for his medical fund. Dutchview Dairy hosted Run for Zane October 26, 2013. 

 

Planning the race took 3 months. The process included raising sponsors and donations, creating advertisements, and encouraging the community to participate. 

 

My Communication courses guided the process as I reflected on Charles Berger Uncertainty Reduction Theory and Walter Fisher's Narrative Paradigm.
